Our client, a highly regarded national employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Wage & Hour Litigation Associate or Of Counsel to join its rapidly growing Denver office.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an attorney with 4+ years of experience handling wage and hour class and collective action litigation who is looking to take on significant client-facing responsibilities within an established employment litigation practice.

The firm offers sophisticated litigation work, opportunities for professional development and the flexibility to consider candidates seeking a non-partner-track position.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Represent employers in complex wage and hour litigation, including class and collective actions under the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
\n
• Manage litigation matters from initial pleadings through discovery, motion practice and resolution.
\n
• Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests and substantive motions.
\n
• Prepare and argue motions, including motions to decertify conditionally certified collective actions.
\n
• Take and defend depositions and participate in other aspects of litigation proceedings.
\n
• Interpret and apply regulations, rules and guidance issued by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and the U.S. Department of Labor.
\n
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding wage and hour compliance and litigation risks.
\n
• Work collaboratively with experienced attorneys on complex employment disputes.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• 4+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience handling wage and hour class and/or collective actions.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act.
\n
• Experience interpreting state and federal wage and hour regulations and guidance.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in drafting pleadings, managing discovery and preparing substantive motions.
\n
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Excellent academic credentials and a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
\n
• Active admission to the Colorado Bar is required.
\n
• Ability to provide writing samples demonstrating litigation proficiency.
\n
